The Glitch Mob – “Drive It Like You Stole It” (play)
On March 25th The Glitch Mob will drop their first full length album, Drink the Sea. This week they’ve given their fans a little taste of what’s to come with “Drive It Like You Stole It.” Fans of the Mob will find comfort in more of the same from the trio: high-pitched acceding synths, chopped and crushed breaks, and pulsating basslines. The Mob ain’t no dummies, they know that just like when they play a show you got to give your fans what they want.

Oakland based promoter, DJ, and producer An-ten-nae is the de-facto king of the Bay Area’s dubstep/glitch-hop/future breaks scene (thanks for Sea of Dreams, BTW). “Warning” is from the fifth installment of An-ten-nae’s hugely successful Acid Crunk series and is hands down one of my favorite singles of last year. Anytime a producer throws dancehall lyrics over a chunky boom-bap you’re going to witness my ass levitating to the dancefloor.
