New music from Quantic

Quantic Presenta Flowering Inferno – “Dog With a Rope” (play/download)

“Dog With a Rope” is the title track from Quantic’s second album that showcases sounds found during his record hunting and recording expedition in the southern hemisphere. Combining reggae inspired bass lines and tropical-oriented percussion, “Dog With a Rope” is one more shining example of why Quantic is at the apex of left-field music production.

One of my favorite singles of ’09

An-ten-nae – Warning (feat. Buccaneer)

Oakland based promoter, DJ, and producer An-ten-nae is the de-facto king of the Bay Area’s dubstep/glitch-hop/future breaks scene (thanks for Sea of Dreams, BTW). “Warning” is from the fifth installment of An-ten-nae’s hugely successful Acid Crunk series and is hands down one of my favorite singles of last year. Anytime a producer throws dancehall lyrics over a chunky boom-bap you’re going to witness my ass levitating to the dancefloor.
